"So I’ve wrote this review like 4 times and it ends up like a novel long. I have so many good points and things I want to share with potential clients.

So I want to say this. I would not hesitate to bring my dog here. I did a lot of research on who I wanted to take my dog too. And has decided on a trainer out of state. Then I come across Anna & Patrick. Did a meet and great and interview with Diesel my dog. And ended up doing a 6 week board & train program. Anna is amazing when you see her working with dogs you can fully tell it’s a love of hers not a job. She is an amazing trainer.

So I have so much more I could say but trying to keep this short. If you need help training your dog this is most Definitely where I would go. "Patrick has been an amazing trainer for Ayla. He is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and takes a very systematic approach that makes the training process easy to understand and follow. We really appreciated how he broke everything down into manageable steps and explained the reasoning behind each exercise.

Whenever we had questions or concerns—even when they weren’t directly related to the current training plan—Patrick was always responsive and happy to provide guidance through messages / during training day. "Would highly recommend! The staff here are superb! The communication we received throughout the board & train was highly informative. The weekly videos and weekly sessions we did helped drive home and reinforce what our dog was learning while she was away from us. "Before training with The Distracted Dog, my four year old Frenchie, Hambone, was making things very tense in my home. It got to the point where I would get anxiety just being at home because I never knew what would set him off and cause him to go after my boyfriend. He was very protective of me, often times not even letting my boyfriend hug me or get near me. He would also attack my boyfriend’s hands when he would do certain activities, like working on the computer or playing Xbox. We knew what Hambone was doing was wrong, but had no proper tools to get him to change his behavior.
In just six sessions with The Distracted Dog, Patrick was able to give us all the tools we needed not only to stop Hambone’s bad behavior, but to prevent it before it even starts. Hambone is much better behaved and, when he does act up, we are able to stop the behavior before he gets out of hand. Hambone listens to the Place command, knows to come when called, and is much better about walking beside us on walks instead of running in front of us.
Another invaluable part of training at The Distracted Dog was allowing Hambone to be around other dogs in a controlled environment. We had never had Hambone around other dogs, and Patrick brought in one of his own dogs to see how he did. Hambone did amazing, and has now had multiple experiences around people and other dogs including going to an event put on by The Distracted Dog.
Long story short, The Distracted Dog is the best place to take your dogs for training, whatever your needs may be"

"Anna and Patrick are The best!!!!! Kyro was a crazy goofy German Shepherd puppy who had no manners and was impossible for us to get a handle on him. Mind you this was our fifth German Shepherd, so we were very familiar with the breed. we made the decision to do the board & train, and it was the best decision that we ever made !!! Anna and Patrick worked miracles. This is like a whole new dog you can walk him on a leash, he comes, he sits. It’s just like night and day. Not only did Kyro receive training the amount of training that we received to help Kyro succeed was incredible! we received videos so that we knew how they were training Kyro and what we should be doing, as well as a whiteboard that reviewed everything for us. On our Friday pick ups. We also had another hour lesson that we received just reviewing what had been done for the week!! We can’t thank Anna and Patrick enough for the changes and all that they have done for Kyro, for our family, and for our other dog Bailey. No words can express our thanks enough. If you are thinking about doing training with your dogs, I can’t give a high enough recommendation for Anna and Patrick at The Distracted Dog.. Thank you The Distracted Dog!!!!"

"Both Anna and Pat were great with my dogs! I have two rescue dogs, one of which is reactive to other dogs. They were able to help eliminate unwanted behaviors such as pulling on the leash and potty training, as well as teach them new commands. The trainers discuss/demonstrate ways to attack training obstacles. The training is modified based on the dog's behavior. I would highly recommend these trainers."

We have taken both of our dogs to them for help with general training but mainly reactivity to other dogs and people.
